What Is Sublimation Printing?
Dye Sublimation: Prints That Never Crack, Peel or Fade
Dye sublimation printing uses heat and pressure to turn special inks into a gas that bonds directly with polyester fibres. Instead of sitting on top of the fabric like a print layer, the design becomes part of the fabric itself — so it stays soft, breathable and vivid wash after wash.
Because there are no screens and no colour limits, sublimation is the best way to print photographs, gradients and full all-over designs that run seam to seam. It is the standard for sports jerseys, cycling and running kits, team uniforms and eye-catching event wear across Dubai and the UAE.
At Milano Group we design, sublimate and sew in our own UAE facility, which means you deal with one supplier from artwork to delivery. For cotton garments or very large runs with simple artwork, our screen printing or custom t-shirt printing may be a better fit — we will always recommend the right method.

Sublimation Printing FAQs
What is sublimation printing?
Sublimation printing is a process where heat turns special dye into a gas that bonds with polyester fibres. The design becomes part of the fabric, so it does not crack, peel or fade, and it can cover the whole garment in unlimited colours.
Can you sublimate on cotton t-shirts?
No. Sublimation only bonds properly with polyester or polyester-rich fabrics. For cotton t-shirts we recommend screen printing or DTF, both done in-house.
Can you sublimate on black or dark garments?
Sublimation dye is transparent, so it works on white and light-coloured fabrics. Dark designs are achieved by printing the dark colour itself as part of the all-over artwork on a light base fabric.
What is the minimum order for sublimation printing in Dubai?
Ten pieces per design. Sizes, names and numbers can be mixed within the same order.
How long does a sublimation order take?
Samples are usually ready in around 7 days, and bulk production takes 2–4 weeks after approval. Tell us your deadline at the start and we will plan around it.
Can each jersey have a different name and number?
Yes. Send us a name and number list with sizes, and every piece is personalised individually and packed by name.
Is sublimation printing good for the UAE climate?
Yes. Because the ink becomes part of the fabric, sublimated polyester stays light and breathable — ideal for outdoor sports, events and staff working in the heat.
How much does sublimation printing cost in Dubai?
The cost per piece depends on the garment and fabric, the quantity and any personalisation such as names and numbers. Because sublimation prints the whole garment in one process, an all-over design costs about the same as a small logo. Send us your design and quantities for a free, itemised quote.
Do you deliver outside Dubai?
Yes. We deliver across the UAE, including Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the northern emirates, and supply teams across the GCC.
